Lutheran Schools Week
March 1st, 2010 by Mr. Duncan

Congratulations to the basketball team on a great season and final tournament. Even though we lost by one point in the consolation game, our team showed determination in fighting to get back in the game after being behind. Now that the fun of Spirit Week is behind us we can look forward to the events this week. This picture is of the 6-8 students who dressed up for blue and white day last week.
This week we are celebrating Lutheran Schools Week. Activities and special guests will be coming in throguhout the week. On Wednesday we will be going to MLC to attend their freshman early field experience. The students studying to become teachers will have an opportunity to present lessons to Trinity students in grades 1-8. The week will end with games and activities planned by the third and fourth grade parents.

Spirit Week
February 22nd, 2010 by Mr. Duncan
Why would students be wearing flippers, floaties, and swimsuits in the middle of the winter? As we wrap up all the fun of spirit week and the MLC tournament, we are enjoying learning and fun in the classroom. We are finishing up the novel, Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. In Science we have been studying chemistry over the past several weeks. We have been learning through study of the periodic table and many hands on labs. We have been reading The Unusual Mind of Vincent Shadow by Tim Kehoe during read aloud time. Tim Kehoe will be coming to MLC to speak to students from around the area. Many other events will be occuring in the next few weeks.
