God’s Word is unbelievably rich and deep. Martin Luther wrote about the basic teachings of the Bible that even God cannot finish teaching them, and that indeed he knows nothing better to teach (Large Catechism I.16). For that reason, the Trinity family has committed to studying God’s Word together. As we do so, we have his promise that he will cause us to grow in grace and knowledge, and that our faith will increase toward unity and maturity.

For that reason, Trinity offers several opportunities to meet with fellow Christians with the express purpose of studying God’s Word together. Whereas worship services focus on the proclamation of God’s Word to and for the congregation, these Bible studies provide the chance to interact with each other, ask questions, discuss, encourage, pray together, and wrestle with what God has said in a way that deepens our understanding and draws us closer together as a faith community.

10:45 AM Sunday Bible Study

This is our weekly Sunday morning in-person Bible study. Grab your coffee and sweet treat and meet us in the Fireside Room! Check below for our current topic.

Dual Citizens

Christians are citizens of the kingdom of God. We’ve been brought under Jesus’ gracious rule through the gospel, and through his Word he rules, protects, and cares for our eternal welfare. But we are also citizens of an earthly kingdom – a nation with all its layers of government – and the Bible reveals that God is ruling over that kingdom, too. And yet that’s where things get complicated, because it sometimes seems that these two kingdoms are opposed to one another. So how does a Christian think about their place in both kingdoms? How do we serve others as we engage with government and politics? How can we live to the glory of God as dual citizens of both heaven and earth? Join us to think through what the Bible says about these important issues.

7:00 PM Monday Bible Study

This is our weekly Monday night hybrid Bible study. Join us in person (in the Fireside Room) or virtually via the links below! Check below for our current topic.

The Light in the Dark

This is an apologetics-minded Bible class on how God promised to preserve his gospel, and how he has preserved it for us today. This study not only teaches doctrine concerning God’s Word, but also covers the history of how the Old Testament and New Testament have come to us through surviving manuscripts.

Women, Wine & the Word

This is our monthly women’s Bible study. This session is planned and led by the women of Trinity and includes beverages and snacks (both savory and sweet). The group usually meets in the Fireside Room but sometimes is hosted by one of the participants. Contact the church office for more information.
