God’s Word is unbelievably rich and deep. Martin Luther wrote about the basic teachings of the Bible that even God cannot finish teaching them, and that indeed he knows nothing better to teach (Large Catechism I.16). For that reason, the Trinity family has committed to studying God’s Word together. As we do so, we have his promise that he will cause us to grow in grace and knowledge, and that our faith will increase toward unity and maturity.
For that reason, Trinity offers several opportunities to meet with fellow Christians with the express purpose of studying God’s Word together. Whereas worship services focus on the proclamation of God’s Word to and for the congregation, these Bible studies provide the chance to interact with each other, ask questions, discuss, encourage, pray together, and wrestle with what God has said in a way that deepens our understanding and draws us closer together as a faith community.
We hope that you can join us soon!

Their Story: Our Story
The Old Testament tells the story of people who lived long ago, on the other side of the world, in a culture totally foreign to our own. It would seem that the stories we read there – while interesting and even entertaining – don’t really seem to have much to do with us. But in reality, they have everything to do with us. By the power of his Spirit, God has called us to faith in the same promises he made to his people of old. By this faith, he has made us his children, members of his chosen people. We are grafted into the family tree that has Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at its roots. As we study the Old Testament, we see God’s faithfulness to his people – the same faithfulness he shows to us. Join us for an overview of Old Testament history as we learn to see that their story is our story – or rather, our story is the latest chapter in their story: the story of God and his people.

Christ Through Us: The History of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod
In 2025, WELS celebrates its 175th anniversary under the theme “Christ Through Us.” In this study, we will hear the story of our church body and reflect on the ways that God has been faithful to his promise to work through the gospel in Word and Sacrament. We will grow in our appreciation for our history and our Lutheran heritage, give thanks for God’s goodness, and be inspired to see how God may continue to bring Christ to the world through us. Join us!
